A Warm Irish Cup of Joe!

The history of the Irish Coffee is as rich as the beverage itself. This legendary drink was born on a stormy winter night in 1943 at Foynes, Ireland, a major hub for flights traveling between Europe and North America. When a flight destined for New York was forced to turn back due to Atlantic storms, Head Chef Joe Sheridan served up a coffee mixture designed to warm up cold passengers. With a simple whisk of brown sugar and Irish whiskey into warm cups of coffee and finished off with fresh cream, Joe transformed your average Joe into a delightful treat. The warm “cup of Joe” eventually gained international fame after it was shared with the Buena Vista Hotel in San Francisco, transforming a local secret into a global favorite. Brew up this legendary classic and taste the history for yourself!
