National Grand Marnier Day

Tuesday, July 14th

Fittingly falling on France’s Bastille Day, July 14 honors a true French icon. The story begins in 1827, when Jean-Baptiste Lapostolle founded a fine fruit-liqueur distillery near Paris. Decades later, in 1880, his family’s Louis-Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle did something considered downright avant-garde: he married rich French Cognac to the rare, bitter essence of Caribbean bigarade oranges — and the first bottle of Grand Marnier was born. It quickly became the toast of the Ritz Paris and the Savoy, and remarkably, the recipe hasn’t changed since.

Raise a glass with our Grand Marnier Sangria — the perfect pour for a warm July evening.
