Rosh Hashanah Challah from Woodside Bakery
Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year — Hebrew for “Head of the Year” — begins at sundown on Friday, September 11, and concludes at nightfall on Sunday, September 13. In celebration, our stores will carry fresh-baked round challah from Woodside Bakery, a longtime Bay Area favorite.
Woodside Bakery is a traditional European-style “scratch” bakery that makes everything in-house using the highest-quality ingredients, and their love of baking shows in all they create — including their famous challah. The bread’s round shape symbolizes the hope for a New Year full of blessings. Along with the challah, Woodside Bakery bakes a variety of other goods delivered fresh to our Portola Valley and San Carlos stores. Stop by our bakery to pick up a freshly baked round challah for your celebration.
Available September 10. Shana Tova — a good and sweet year to all who celebrate!
